Truthfully though, anytime during daylight hours is a good time to visit & hike Kerid Crater! The parking lot is small though, so try to avoid popular times.
HOW TO GET TO KERID CRATER
Kerid Crater’s location is convenient for travelers, as it’s incorporated within the Golden Circle route. From Reykjavik, drive towards Selfoss, switch to Route 35, then follow Route 36 and well-posted signs to the crater’s parking area. Kerid Crater is about an hour from Reykjavik.
